Remembering Gil

You have set out to conquer the world and you ended up conquering our hearts.

Gil Orbach’s Legacy

Creative and Expressive

Gil became part of the Orbach family in South Africa, in 1995, to parents Asnat and Dror, and brother Lee-Orr.

Gil was artistic and musical, which became very evident when she started painting and playing the piano as a child, turning her musical talent to drums during high school.

Gil had a love of nature and the outdoors, on top of which she was athletic and daring. A sky-diving experience was just one of the many ways Gil experienced her adventure.

Gil Orbach’s Legacy

Athletic and Daring

Gil was also very talented in martial arts, beginning in her early school years and recently continuing during her time in Kingston.

In both music and martial arts, she wanted to enjoy them for herself, but she was not interested in competition.

Gil Orbach’s Legacy

A Love For Nature

For several years when Gil and her family lived in Israel, she was part of a youth Hiking club. She loved to hike with her cousin Roee and her friends, experiencing the natural beauty of Israel. Gil also enjoyed exploring activities like rock climbing and sky diving.

Gil’s love of hiking and the outdoors persisted through her time as an exchange student in Hong Kong. She explored many parts of the territory and visited both Taiwan and Vietnam with her newly made friends.
